Ingredients:
- Tapioca(cassava root): 300 gm.
- Oil: 4 tablespoon
- Tomato: 2-3 (medium)
- Onion: 1 (small)
- Ginger: 1 inch piece
- Cumin seed: 1 teaspoon
- Chilli powder: 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder: 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala powder: half teaspoon
- Salt: 1 teaspoon
- Water: half cup
Preparation:
- Peel and cut the tapioca in cube. Put it into the water. Keep aside.
- Chop onion, tomato and ginger into small pieces. Keep aside.
Method:
- Heat oil in a cooker till smoke starts to come; put cumin seed, sputter it for few seconds, add onion, and fry on medium flame till golden colour appears (about 3-4 minutes).
- Add tomato and ginger; continue to fry it till liquid dries up(about 2-3 minutes); add tapioca, stir fry for couple of minutes.
- Add salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder and stir it for few seconds; fry till oil separates from masala.
- Add 1 cup of water slowly, Close the lid, and bring to full Cooking pressure; reduce to lower heat and cook for 6-7 minutes.
- Allow it cool; add Garam masala powder and coriander leaves.
- Garnish with coriander leaves, serve with roti or rice.
