Guwar Phalli, or cluster beans, simply fried with minimal ingredients is a quick and healthy dish that highlights the natural flavor of this nutritious vegetable. In this preparation, the guwar phalli is lightly sautéed in a little oil with just a few basic spices.
The simplicity, no-fuss dish is perfect for a light meal or as a side dish, pairing well with Chapati or as an accompaniment to Dal and Rice.

Ingredients:
- Guwar phalli: 200gm
- Turmeric powder: half teaspoon
- Chilli powder: one forth teaspoon
- Coriander powder: 1 teaspoon
- Salt: half teaspoon
- Mustard oil/Cooking oil: 1 tablespoon
- Cumin seed: half teaspoon
- Asafoetida: 1 pinch
- Garam masala powder: half teaspoon
Preparation:
- Wash and discard both ends of phalli (cluster beans), cut phalli into 1 inch pieces.
Method:
- Take oil in a wok, when it starts smoking, add asafoetida and cumin.
- Sputter for few seconds, add guwar phalli.
- Stir fry on medium low flame with lid on for about 4-5 minutes.
- Add salt, turmeric, chilli, coriander powder.
- Continue to fry on lower flame for couple minutes.(occasionally stir it) .
- Or cook until vegetable become soft.
- Gwarphalli sabji is ready to be served with “chapati “or “Dost Paratha”
