Fresh/raw turmeric milk (Kachchi Haldi ka doodh)

It is delicious and traditional Indian home remedy; very good for cold and cough.

It helps to relieve joint pain, body ache and headache.

Raw turmeric increases red blood cells counts.

Nutmeg is good for skin and can help to get rid of skin problems.

Green cardamom reduces digestive problem, so, you can enjoy this drink daily.

Ingredients:

  • Raw/fresh turmeric: 100 gm
  • Green cardamom: 10-12 no.
  • Nutmeg: 1 no.
  • Sugar: 1 tablespoon (as per test).
  • Honey: as per your taste (optional).

Preparation:

  1. Scrap / Peel off the raw turmeric, Slice the turmeric, keep aside.
  2. Peel off cardamom and discard the skin of cardamom, keep aside.
  3. Grate/break the nutmeg into small pieces.
  4. Put all ingredients into grinding jar.
  5. Grind all ingredients into full speed till it gets fine paste (add water if required). Keep aside.
  6. You can store this into refrigerator for a week.

Method:

  1. Boil 200 ml of milk put one spoon of paste into the milk, just boil it.
  2. Add honey as per your choice.
  3. Kachchi Haldi ka doodh (raw turmeric milk) is ready to serve.
  4. Garnish with almond slice and rose petal.

Note:

  1. You can make this drink with turmeric powder also.
