“French beans (Green bean) fry” is a simple yet delicious dish have fresh flavour of tender green beans. Stir-fried with minimal spices, this dish retains the natural taste of the beans while enhancing it with a light seasoning of cumin and garlic.
It’s a quick and healthy side dish that pairs well with Chapati, Rice, or even as a salad topping. French Beans Stir Fry is a versatile and nutritious option, ideal for a light meal.
Ingredients:
- French beans: 250gm
- Garlic: 1 teaspoon (paste)
- Cumin: 1 teaspoon
- Chilli powder: half teaspoon
- Turmeric powder: half teaspoon
- Coriander powder: one and half teaspoon
- Mustard Oil/any cooking oil: 2 tablespoon
- Salt: half teaspoon (as per taste)
- Coriander leaves: 2 tablespoon (chopped)
Preparation:
- Clean and wash French beans.
- Trim the both ends, and chop into small slices.
Method:
- Heat oil in a fry pan; add cumin, sputter for few seconds, add garlic paste.
- Stir fry once; add beans, sauté on medium to low flame.
- Fry until is half done, (About 5-7 minutes)
- Add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder; continue to fry until beans done.
- Now French beans (Green bean) fry is ready.
- Transfer into serving bowl and garnish with chopped fresh coconut and coriander leaf.
- French beans fry is ready to be served.
- Serve with Lachcha Paratha, Roti, Rice as a main dish.
