We enjoyed the “Ardra Nakshatra Festivitival” with one of our family friend in our society, making the festivity even more special and memorable.
you know what is Ardra? It is the name of Nakshatra in Hindu astrology; On the full moon day of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Jyeshtha, corresponding to June 22, 2024, Saturday, the Sun will enter Ardra Nakshatra from Mrigashira Nakshatra at 8:00 AM. On the upcoming Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 9:34 AM, the Sun will transit from Ardra Nakshatra to Punarvasu Nakshatra.
Traditionally, Dal Poori and Rice Kheer are prepared for Ardra Nakshatra, but this time, I decided to put a twist on the tradition by making Mung Dal (Green Gram) kachori and Oats kheer. The mung dal kachori, with its crispy exterior and flavourful filling, was a hit with everyone in family. Instead of the usual Rice Kheer, I opted for a healthier version with steel cut oats, which turned out to be creamy and delicious. This modern take on traditional recipes added a new flavour to our celebration, making it both unique and enjoyable.
The combination of traditional dishes like Mung Dal Kachori and Steel Cut Oats Kheer.
Mango and jamun are essential fruits for the Ardra Nakshatra celebration. Their inclusion adds a seasonal and traditional touch to the festivities.
I am feeling very joyful sharing this “Ardra Nakshatra Ki Thali 2 (Bihari Thali)” aimed to encourage you to prepare special foods in Ardra Nkshtra for your love ones.
As per tradition, for welcome Ardra Nakshatra the Thali is offered to God (Indra) so that god bless us with good rain…
