Egg do pyaza

It is believed that if a warm meal prepared by the lady of the house, it is great for improving family health. Give to your family the daily dose of power with protein; egg is loaded with the protein power, which helps building strong muscles. You can prepare egg in many ways; boiled eggs to egg do pyaza. ‘Sunday ho ya Monday roz khao ande’.

Ingredients:

  • Eggs: 3 no.
  • Onion: 300-350gm.
  • Garlic: 5-6 flakes
  • Ginger: 2” piece
  • Green chili: 3-4no. (As per taste)
  • Tomato: 1 no. (Medium size)
  • Kashmiri chili powder: 2 teaspoon (as per your taste)
  • Turmeric powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala powder:  1 teaspoon
  • Mustard Oil/any cooking oil: 4 tablespoon
  • Cumin: 1 teaspoon
  • Salt: one and half teaspoon (as per taste)

Preparation:

  1. Boil eggs, peel off and chop into two halves, keep aside.
  2. Take half quantity of onion, slices longitudinally and cut rest half quantity of onion into 8 pieces, then separate them layer by layer as in photo.
  3. Peel off and Chop garlic, grate/chop ginger, keep aside.
  4. Chop tomato, keep aside
  5. Deseed green chili and chop longitudinally, keep aside.

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a fry pan; add separated layers of onion; sauté on high flame till it gets light brown in color, add green chili; stir fry for few seconds, remove it. Keep aside.
  2. Add cumin into the oil; sputter it for few seconds, add longitudinally sliced onion, stir fry on high flame until it turns light brown in color, add sliced tomato and stir fry for couple of minutes.
  3. Add chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt, add ¼ cup of water so that all masala get messy in appearance.
  4. Now it’s time to add fried leaf of onion and green chili, cook for couple of minutes on medium flame, add Garam masala powder and chopped egg, fry for couple of minutes, put off the flame.
  5. ‘Transfer in to serving bowl and decorate with green coriander leaves. Serve with roti, paratha or as a side dish.
  6.  ‘Eggs do pyaza’ is ready to serve.

Anda (egg) curry

Eggs are rich in vitamins, minerals and other vital nutrients women need. In fact an egg contains 251 milligram choline, more than half their daily requirement.

Eggs look fragile from outside, but it’s really strong inside like every women.

Ingredients:

  • Egg: 6 no. (Boiled)
  • Onion: 1no. (Small size)
  • Tomato: half
  • Ginger: 2 teaspoon (paste)
  • Garlic: half teaspoon (paste)
  • Cumin seed: 1 teaspoon
  • Salt: 1 teaspoon (as per taste)
  • Chilly powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala powder: half teaspoon
  • Mustard Oil (cooking oil): 2 tablespoon
  • Coriander leaves: 1 tablespoon (chopped)
  • Poppy seed: 2 tablespoon
  • Water: one and half cup

Preparation:

  1. Remove the shell of boiled egg. Keep aside.
  2. Grind onion and tomato to fine paste.
  3. Chop coriander leaves.
  4. Grind poppy seed and make fine paste. (First grind dry poppy seed, then add little water slowly and make paste.)

Method:

  1. Take a fry pan. Heat 1 teaspoon of oil on high flame until smoke starts coming..
  2. Lower the flame. Fry the all sides of egg and remove it.
  3. Put 2 tablespoon of oil in a fry pan.
  4. Add cumin seed, Sputter it for few seconds.
  5.  Add onion and tomato paste saute till light brown.
  6. Add garlic and ginger paste. Stir it.
  7. Add chilly, turmeric, and coriander powder.
  8. Reduce to low heat, and add poppy seed paste.
  9. Fry till oil separates from masala (or liquid dries up).
  10. Add one and half cup of water and cover the lid (as per gravy thickness.)
  11. Boil it for2 minute.
  12. Add boiled egg in it.
  13.  Boil it for 3-5 minutes.
  14. Add Garam masala powder and stir it.
  15. Put off the flame.Garnish with coriander leaves.
  16.   Serve hot with rice or roti.

French toast

once upon a time when my children was kid like this quick old breakfast; bread slice soaked in beaten eggs with milk and black pepper,fried the soaked slices on both side. Aday old bread is better because it is soak up  more egg  mixture.A Easy and quick way to prepare breakfast for all.

Ingredients:

  • Bread slices: 4 no.
  • Egg: 4 no.
  • Ghee/butter: for shallow frying
  • Black pepper powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Milk: 4 tablespoon
  • Salt: 1 teaspoon

Preparation:

  1. Cut the bread slices diagonally.
  2. Whip egg with milk and salt.
  3. Add black pepper powder.

Method:

  1. Take a non stick fry pan.
  2. Spread 1 teaspoon ghee/butter on it.
  3. Dip the slice bread into the whipped egg, and spread on the fry pan.
  4. Fry on medium heat on both sides till golden brown color appears. (It takes about 2 minutes each side)
  5. Add little ghee/butter if required.
  6. Repeat till all the slices are cooked.
  7. Garnish with tomato ketchup and slices.

Yummy! Hot French toast ready to serve.
