Raw Turmeric and ginger salad (instant pickle)

Ingredients:

  • Raw turmeric: 200 gm.
  • Ginger: 100gm.
  • Lemon: 2 no.
  • Salt: 1 tablespoon
  • Green chili: 8-10(optional)
  • Seasoning ingredients:
  • Mustard oil: 1 tablespoon
  • Mustard seed: half teaspoon
  • Asafoetida: 1pinch

Preparation:

  1. Peel off the raw turmeric and ginger skin.
  2. Grate the turmeric and ginger, keep aside.

Method:

  1. Take a mixing bowl, put all ingredients together.
  2. Squeeze lemon juice, Mix properly.  Keep aside.
  3. Seasoning:
  4. Heat a fry pan with oil, Add mustard seed let it sputter.
  5. Add Asafoetida, Put off the flame.
  6.  Spread this seasoning over the turmeric and ginger mixture.
  7.  Stir well, Raw Turmeric ginger salad (instant pickle) is ready.
  8. You can serve immediately; keep this into the refrigerator for a week or two.
  9. This recipe is easy to prepare and extremely healthy.
  10. Consume little amount daily because it has medicinal values.
