Paneer masala curry

Ingredients

  • Onion: 1 no (medium)
  • Tomato: 1no (medium)
  • Green chili: 2 no.
  • Garlic: 5 cloves
  • Ginger: 2 inch piece
  • Paneer/soya paneer/cottage cheese: 200gm
  • Oil: 4 table spoon
  • Salt: one teaspoon
  • Cumin seed(jeera): 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala powder: half teaspoon
  • Red chili powder: half teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder: half teaspoon
  • Coriander powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Cashew nut:10-12
  • Cinnamon:1” stick
  • Clove: 3-4 no.
  • Green cardamom: 1 no

Preparation:

  1. Grind the onion, ginger, green chili and cashew nut together as smooth masala paste. Keep aside.
  2. Grind tomato and keep aside.
  3. Cut the paneer in 1inch cube.

Method:

  1. Take fry pan, put oil in it.
  2. When oil starts to smoke Put cumin seed, cinnamon, clove and green cardamom in it.
  3. Sputter it for few seconds; add the masala paste.
  4.  Fry these masala about 3-5 minutes on medium flame.
  5. Add tomato paste red chili powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder.
  6.  Fry till masala dried up.
  7. Add 1 cup of hot water and boil it.
  8.  Add paneer in it and again boil it.
  9. Put off the flame. Transfer into serving bowl.
