Fish Fry (Rohu)

Ingredients:

  • Fish (rohu): 400gm (cut in pieces)
  • Garlic: 1 teaspoon (paste)
  • Salt: 2 teaspoon (level)
  • Corn flour: 2 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Mustard oil/oil: 3 tablespoon
  • Mustard seed: 1 teaspoon
  • Fenugreek seed: half teaspoon (optional)
  • Lemon juice: 2 teaspoon

preparation:

  1. Clean the fish properly with running water. Add lemon juice. Leave it for 5-7 minutes. Again wash the fish drain out all the water.
  2. Add 1 teaspoon salt,garlic ,corn flour and turmeric powder. Rub on the fish. Keep aside.

Method:

  1. Heat oil in fry pan on high flame, when smoke starts coming, put mustard seed.
  2. Allow the seed to Sputter for few seconds’ .Reduce heat at low flame.
  3. Add fish pieces and increase the flame to high.
  4. Fry on both sides till dark   golden brown color appears (about 2-4 minutes each side).
  5.  Remove. Fry remaining pieces in the same way.
  6. Garnish with chat masala, onion ring and lemon.
  7. Serve hot with rice or chapati and dal.

    If you are non vegetarian, there is nothing better than fish in your meal.

    It is a good source of protein, vitamin D, omega3 fatty acid and other nutrients.

    And everybody knows that after all fish is a delicacy.

Apple Kheer

Ingredients:

  • Apple: 250gm
  • Milk: 500gm
  • Ghee: 1 teaspoon
  • Condensed milk: 200gm
  • Pistachio: 10 no (chopped)
  • Almond: 10 no (chopped)
  • Saffron: 20 thread
  • Green cardamom: 2 no

Preparation:

  1. Peel out the apples. Grate the apples with the help of greater /food processor squeeze gently and take out extra juice to reduce the wetness.

Method:

  1. Take a fry pan heat the pan. Put ghee in it and when ghee is heated add crushed cardamom. Wait for few second. Then add grated apple. Fry for 5 to7 minutes till apple become light golden. Put it aside.
  2. Boil the milk
  3. Add the grated fried apples in the milk and boil it.
  4. and boil. Put off the flame.
  5. Add half of Pistachio, almond, and saffron in it.
  6. Serve in a bowl and decorate with leftover dry fruits on it. And some apple slices.
  7. Now apple kheer is ready to serve.
